Fête Games is a company which creates interactive social games that are played using mobile devices. Fête social game Parley evolved from a paper game, created by Amanda Carlson, to the current online version which utilizes the Caspio low code database system.
I created the website graphics and styles from the original game and artwork and adapted them to this new site which uses HTML and PHP. I also adapted the CSS styles in the Caspio database forms and views to work with the styles in the main site.
View Fête GamesThis is Arts North Carolina's main site which has been redesigned in February 2024. I have been maintaining and updating this site since 2011, using WordPress. The new child theme is more accessible to people using screen readers and other assistive devices. This current version was designed with the help of Ablr and Arts North Carolina's former graphic designer Andie Freeman.
The homepage features a collage of ARTS Day photos, featured calls to action, and a list of recent blog posts. The top navigation is designed to help users easily find the information they are looking for using desktop or mobile devices. This site has been consistantly praised by Arts NC's members and stakeholders as easy to use and well organized.
View Arts North CarolinaThis site is a companion mobile site to Arts North Carolina's annual ARTS Day event. The event is now paperless with all event information delivered through the site. The advocacy mobile site is branded with ARTS Day and Arts North Carolina colors and logos. and pictures from past events
From this site, users can get information about the schedule and parking for ARTS Day and connect with other attendees through social media. They can also find information about Arts North Carolina's legislative agenda, the NC General Assembly, and they can report the results of their legislative visits.
NOTE: This site is best viewed on your phone or on a browser window reduced to phone size.
View Advocacy MobileThis landing page for The Creative State License Plate, was redisigned in 2022.
Working with graphic designer, Andie Freeman, a completely new design was created with a clear call to action that takes the user to the DMV site where they can purchase the license plate. Sections were also added that connect the purchase of the license plate to the work of Arts North Carolina.
This design is and HTML site which uses CSS grid to create a seamless transition from desktop to mobile.
View thecreativestate.orgThis site was created to be the online home for the NC Arts Education Leadership Coalition, a group of nine organizations who work together on arts education issues. I created the site design based on branding created by graphic designer, Andie Freeman.
This site gives partner organizations a central location for information of interest to arts educators and those interested in arts education advocacy. Arts education data is available as well as information about arts education advocacy and a news blog.
View artsednc.orgThis site was created for musician and teacher, Michael Poole to help him reach new audiences and students. The site contains his bio, information about services, a blog and an online store for selling CDs, musical arrangements, and virtual lessons.
Using WordPress, I worked with Michael to create a design that reflects his musical style. The WordPress Gutenberg editor makes it easy to update the site with new information and create blog posts.
